【感謝】オプエド10周年
2014年6月の放送開始から10年、さまざまな困難に直面する中でも「多様性のある言論空間の創設」と「日本人のメディアリテラシーを高める」という目標達成のために「ニューズオプエド」は、成長しつづけてまいりました。
放送回数は2200回を数え、2022年にはギネス世界記録の申請をしたものの、残念ながら世界記録には及びませんでしたが、日本で最も長く続くデイリーオンラインニューズ番組としての地位を確立しました。スタッフ一同、改めて「オプエド」の重要性を再確認しています。
コロナ前までの『ニューズ・オプエド』は、海外支局の設置やホワイトハウスからのリポート、あるいはG7現地取材（主要先進7か国首脳会議/サミット）や各国首脳会談など、積極的に国際ニューズの報道も行ってまいりました。限られた予算の中ではありますが、世界的にも認められるまでに成長した、真のジャーナリズム番組の再興を成し遂げたことは私たちの誇りでもあります。それゆえか、日本の「ジャーナリズム界の至宝」だと、米ホワイトハウス詰めの記者からも評価を頂戴しています。
とくに、私たちの誇るべき点としては、番組開始直後の9年前（2015年）からAI技術を取り入れたニュース生成の技術です。昨年の完全ＡＩ放送をみるまでもなく、AIアナウンサーの導入やAIニュースの開発により、報道の速度と精度が飛躍的に向上させることに成功しています。これにより、より多くの視聴者により速く正確な情報を提供することが可能になりました。
さて、2024年6月、オプエドは大きな節目となる10周年を迎えることができました。かつてのように特別番組を組んだり、パーティを開いたりすことはありませんが、10年間というオプエドの歴史の歳月を振り返るだけで、その価値をみなさまにも十分共有していただけるものと信じております。この節目を機に、私たちは新たなステージへと進化します。AIテレビ・オプエドとしての新たなチャレンジはさらに進化を目指し、AIを活用した報道の未来を切り拓いていきます。これからも、AI技術を駆使して、より深く、より広く、そしてより多様な視点からの報道を提供していきます。
これからも、皆様のご理解とご支援を賜りながら、私たちニューズオプエドは前進し続けます。今後ともどうぞよろしくお願い申し上げます。
