本日（2024年6月26日）、東京地方裁判所で判決が下され、有田芳生前参議院議員（被告/立憲民主党）による、私ジャーナリスト上杉隆（原告）への名誉毀損訴訟で勝訴しました。
有田被告に対しては、損害賠償の支払いと投稿の全面削除が命じられました。
2019年、有田被告は、複数の出版関係者らと共謀し、上杉に対して「結婚詐欺を働いた」やまったく面識のない女性との間に「隠し子がいる」などという事実無根の悪質な捏造情報を拡散し、ジャーナリスト上杉隆の信用を毀損し続けてきました。
今回の判決で、現職国会議員（当時）による誹謗中傷にひとつの結論が出たことで、他の同様の訴訟についても、弾みになると安堵しています。
